📢 March with Mary: Pan-O-Prog Grand Parade Instructions

Date: Saturday, July 11th
Parade Step-off: 5:00 PM
Our Line-up Number: Number 100. (Updated)

Brothers and Sisters,

This Saturday, July 11th, we will be marching in the Pan-O-Prog Grand Parade! As noted in our recent updates, this is potentially our last parade of the season. If you have been wanting to march with us, this may be your final opportunity to do so this year.

Please review the critical details below to ensure a smooth, safe, and organized event for everyone.

📍 Staging & Arrival (Crucial Timing)

  • Line-up Time: Staging begins at 3:00 PM.

  • Target Arrival: We must have all our participants in place by 4:30 PM.

  • Late Arrivals Warning: Streets begin shutting down at 4:30 PM. If you arrive late, you will only have entrance access (no exit) to the staging area.

  • Staging Location: The parade line-up will assemble along 210th Street West, Heron Way, and Holyoke Avenue south of 210th Street W.

    • How to enter: Most units will enter the east staging area from the East on 210th Street W and Hamburg Ave.

    • Traffic Flow: Starting at 3:00 PM, entrance to staging at 210th and Hamburg will be one-way westbound only (exiting at 210th and Dodd). The north lane is for traffic, the center lane is for drop-offs, and the south lane is for staging.

🚌 Parking & Shuttle Service (Highly Recommended)

To make your post-parade exit as easy as possible, please consider dropping your vehicle off at the end of the route before the parade starts and taking the free shuttle back to the staging area.

  • Shuttle Hours: 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM (continuous loops).

  • Shuttle Route: Starts at McGuire Middle School (parade start area) and loops to Heritage & Idealic Ave (by O’Reilly’s, near the parade end).

  • Facilities: McGuire Middle School will also be open for anyone who needs to change clothes.

🗺️ Parade Route (1.2 Miles) See Map Below

  • Start: 210th and Holyoke.

  • Route: Proceeds north on Holyoke Ave, goes west on Heritage Drive, and ends at Iberia Avenue.

  • The Roundabout: Just like last year, units will alternate going around each side of the roundabout at Holyoke Ave and Hwy 50. Parade support staff will guide us when we reach it.

⚠️ Safety & Parade Rules

  • No Throwing Items: Absolutely nothing may be thrown from vehicles or floats. Walkers may hand out items, but must stay within 3 feet of the curb to distribute them.

  • Prohibited Items: No water balloons, water guns, or stickers are allowed in the parade.

  • Hydration: Water will be provided at both the parade line-up area and at the end of the parade route.

  • Weather Plan: If weather becomes an issue, updates will be posted directly on panoprog.org and their Facebook page.
